Tonight we’re talking about Genesis 3 in my class. It’s hard to overestimate the centrality of Genesis 3 to the Biblical plot. How did we get where we are? Why is the world the way it is? Why the estrangement from God? Why the tension between the genders? Why do we struggle to make peace with the environment? Why does so much in this world, to quote Ecclesiastes, appear to be meaningless? Should be a good discussion.
