I couldnt be happier to be living in Tulsa, even though I just left one of the greatest places in the world to live. It would be ridiculous to think that I wont suffer some withdrawal symptoms as I make the transition from the Great Northwest to a state that merely aspires to be OK. As an act of self-prescribed therapy, Im going to name a few of the things Im going to miss about living in northwest Washington.
Im going to miss:
Walking outside my house on a clear day and seeing Mt. Baker.
Sitting in Stuart’s Coffee House on a rainy and reading a good book or typing up a mediocre sermon.
Skiing at Whistler and enjoying some of the best terrain in North America, while taking advantage of the Canadian exchange rate.
Working in my dads workshop and building my own furniture.
Watching movies at the Colossus.
Swapping jokes, book titles, and stories with my friend G. K. Self.
Walking the streets of Vancouver, British Columbia, one of the prettiest cities in the world.
Eating outrageously good Thai food at Montris in Vancouver and the Lemon Grass in Bellingham
Fishing and crabbing in the San Juan Islands.
