Last Sunday, I finished up my “How to Believe in God” series. It turned out to be one of my favorite series of teachings that I’ve done. I’ve had great feedback on it from the church as well. You can listen to it here or at the Garnett Podcast at Itunes. My two favorite messages were “Wake Up!” and “Stand in Awe,” but last week’s message, “Turn Around,” was important as well.
I really enjoyed the series as well. The other seires that stands out in my mind was the series you did on the Ten Commandments back at SDC. “Stand in Awe” and “Be Quiet!” were my two favorites from the Believing in God series. I’m listening to “Turn Around” right now.
“Turn Around” was my personal favorite. It kind of addressed a problem I have with sin in my own life. I can’t quote word for word but, I don’t have the openly blatant sins to deal with so to speak. I deal with more sins of the heart. These are more insidious and can go unchecked easily. You brought this out in a thought provoking way. I think the battle against sin is not addressed enough in our christian “any thing goes” culture.
well…
all I have to say is that I was really sad when you finished you last sermon in the “how to believe in God” series… i love it.
