I wonder how future generations will see today’s church through the lens of history. We give scathing rebukes of churches who perpetrated or participated in the inquisition, the crusades, the imperialistic takeover of South America, racism in North America, those who supported Nazi Germany, etc. Are we any better when we allow things like this to go on? I’m afraid I might be part of a church that will become an embarassment to the name of Christ in the future.
