That is nice but; early is on time, on time is late and late is absent. I’m just wired this way.
When I was a kid at Garnett I was always late for worship because my older brother and I would leave class and hit the adult class room hall to take care of the leftover doughnuts and coffee. My mom always wondered why Mark Crain could not seem to end class on time. I guess she never noticed that the youth group section was full.

to Big White Hat—You’re the kind of person that drives other kinds of persons crazy. Fortunately, or unfortunately I knew one like you—my grandpa. And I remember I was proud of him. It gave me a roll model at a very young age. Not as conscientious as he, but the importance of being on time, and consideration for other people.
I was just re-reading Hemingway’s Moveable Feast and he wrote about a newly met friend being late for a train and Hemingway remarked
“NO ONE is late for a train” But his new friend was(fitzgerald). When they finally got back together at their city of destination, Fitzgerald seemed unperturbed.
