I just saw 3:10 to Yuma. I watched it with a buddy and we both thought it was pretty good. The story was fine and the acting was excellent.
I love a good western.
By the way, the Movie Review Query Engine is a great site for finding reviews of movies you may be interested in watching.
My wife and I saw it last night. Overall I liked it, but there was a section in the middle that I got very sleepy in and dozed a bit. My wife wanted to know what part…I told her I couldnt’ remember.
I did like it, though!
Was it as good as the ’57 original?
Can’t say that I’ve seen the original.
I liked 3:10 to Yuma as well, but still prefer the older movie. Did you know that Brittany Spears is coming out with a new movie: 3:10 to Rehab?
My two favorite movie review sites are:
http://www.rottentomatoes.com
This is basically a movie critics review site. They collect all the reviews of the critics nationwide and use a percentage meter (1 – 100 %) to rate the movie.
http://www.screenit.com
At screenit you can find out almost every detail of the movie within 10 or 15 categories like violence, profanity, etc. to help you make a decision about whether or not you want to see the movie. Screenit also provides a rating and a artistic merit review.
Peace.
Also meant to say that the 1957 version starred Glenn Ford and Van Heflin and was directed by Delmer Daves. The film was based on the short story by Elmore Leonard.
Peace.
Metacritic is another great resource.
